O, a new born child

Oy, females .. settle - am writing about my recent, hi-speed, yubeauty ... COMPUTER!!!

Sheesh, it is like a newborn child. Knows how to breathe ...
BUT HAS NO MEMORY!

Yep, frustrating when have been on Windows, Guorgles, internet for more years than Bill Gates or Steve Jobs ... and espepecially Mark Zuckerberberg has been alive ...
And am finding that NONE of their supercomputer algorithms actually recognise ME ...
on a different computer.

Meh ... am beginning to feel like a 'stateless' Refugee ... in the country i was born in!

.. and yep .. have "internet" personas on several 'platforms'.

Would you believe that have at least two 'fake names' 'faked birth dates' on Farcebook? ... too easy.

Congrats, at least you were able to post.

For some reason, I just remembered this site https://davinoz.blogspot.co.uk/

It had got corrupted, seems that the theme was provided by "Photobucket" and they decided you had to pay money, or else.

O, Vincent ... reminders of experiments in times gone bye.

Thankyou ... had forgotten that .

um, am able to post to Blogger from my now, apparently ancient - laptop - which seems to remember all my vague and various internet "usernames" and "passwords". This new 'superfast' computer 'black box' seems to force me to - not only 'teach it' my personal preferences - but Microsoft, Gurgle ... and whoever else's algorithms on the internet that that computer belongs to ME. Not my laptop. grrrhhh ...

You have my sympathy. My old computer broke down a while ago, easily fixed at the local repair shop run by a family who don't think in English and speak it in limited fashion. I was told my computer is too old. To cut the story short, I agreed they'd supply me with a "new" one which I paid for up front, on the basis that they'd put in a "system image" of my old one so it would be just like using my own. Except that (to cut it short) the new one didn't work properly when I got it. And wasn't new. Very stressful. Yesterday I stripped off the data, took it back to the shop, said how kind they had been and how sorry I was (this works best), and got a complete refund.

Yer, whatever. Am now pondering whether am "too old" to live in a world that 'millenials run (o, took me a while to grasp the concept of 'millenials ... but then discovered that they, persons - born after the year 2000.) The 'eldest', today, would have to be aged 18 .... ???

Have, actually, rather too much 'memories' - real life experience - for them to accept in their 'selfie' world view ...
O well, will have to potter off .. to somewhere ... where this planet's REALITY exists ..
(BTW, have you ever seen the movie "Logan's Run"? ... might try to be the character played by Peter Ustinov .... wry heh)

On the other hand .. am rapidly learning how my new 'superfast' black box with Windows 10 sort of works ,,, heh.

(but not yet on any sort of 'broadband' internet ... meh.
Am still pottering along with my, now, relatively ancient, laptop ... which does, actually, recognise and apparently ancient, 'pocket WiFi dongle) ...

Would not worry about computers not knowing who you are if I were you. That would mean you are free to be somebody new...or not...as it pleases you.

And besides, you can be sure the folks at ASIO, ASIS, ASD, DIO, DIGO and the ONA would know it was you even if you changed every letter of your log-in credentials...they care so very much about the state of your mind.

Hi George - my very best wishes to you - and more than overjoyed to discover that you remain alive.

However, at this point am reluctant to let this new computer have some some specific memories - ...

On the other hand ... apparently "Lifeline" (suicide watch phone call service) seems to have my specific location and address - as well as this countries 'emergency call' - 000 - only found that out recently - mainly because i called "Lifeline" and discussed the concept of "suicide by cop". 3am that morning had a policeman knocking on my door. All cool, actually; but gratifying in some way.

Live, more or less, in an isolated place, by myself. Means that if i have a heart attack, or stroke of some sort - all i have to is struggle to dial 000 (on my difficult to negotiate 'mobile (cell?) phone) ...
and help is - more or less - at hand.

Not to worry, have recently been fer a 'checkup' and am apparently
"well preserved for my age".
Cheers.

o, George, by the way - am not quite sure how to handle this "new black box" - windows 10 - thingo. The details are in "my computer" there somewhere - have seen them, but forget where they are; again.
